Life Chain is… • An event where people from across our city form a chain of silent prophetic witness for one hour. • For the truth about human life and abortion. • Neither an angry protest nor an occasion to debate or quarrel with people. • First and foremost about the lives of innocent, defenseless human babies who need someone to stand up for them.

  4. Abortion has many victims… Babies Women Men … all victims of the deceptive lies that our culture spreads about abortion.

  5. Can Life Chain make a difference? • If our presence at Life Chain can save even one baby or even if one woman calls the help number - it is worth being there.b • The greatest purpose of Life Chain is to engage Christians in prayer for the cause of life.

  6. What will I have to do? • Participants stand silently holding a sign asking our Lord to intervene on this issue through a series of prayer requests for the cause of life – these requests are written on the back of the signs.

  7. What about the woman who has already had an abortion? Will we cause pain? • Most women choose abortion because they are desperate, because they feel they have no other choice. Afterwards they are left with the resulting guilt, grief and pain of that choice. We want to offer these hurting women hope and healing through Christ with the sign that reads “Jesus Forgives and Heals.”

  11. Each of the signs has a particular message, either of warning or an offer of help and hope.

  12. Join us! “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9

  13. Psalm 139: 13-14 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

  14. Matthew 25: 35-40 “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”

  15. “Then the righteous will answer him, `Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

  16. The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’”

  17. Matthew 19:14 Jesus said, “ Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

  18. LIFE CHAIN – OCTOBER 5th 2 – 3 pm • Come and stand with us for one hour - one hour of your day an hour spent in prayer prayer for life choices

  20. How can I be part of the Life Chain? • Come pick up your sign at Seven Oaks Alliance Church’s parking lot from 1:30 – 2:00 • Please come out and show your love for those who need it so much.
