So I came out to meet you, Diligently to seek your face, And I have found you.”

  8. The harlot’s character • She presents intimacy void of its design and danger (16-21) • Proverbs 7:16–21, “I have spread my bed with tapestry, Colored coverings of Egyptian linen. I have perfumed my bed With myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon. Come, let us take our fill of love until morning; Let us delight ourselves with love. For my husband is not at home; He has gone on a long journey; He has taken a bag of money with him, And will come home on the appointed day.” With her enticing speech she caused him to yield, With her flattering lips she seduced him.

  9. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.

  12. Wrapping Up… • Our current cultural landscape is littered with the remains of those that have fallen prey to sexual immorality and alongside these fallen are the broken homes, fatherless children and single mothers that become collateral damage. I ask you this morning, are you living carelessly like the naïve young man that eventually paid with his life?
