  1. OUR MISSION: To guide those far from God into the new start found in Jesus Christ.

  2. Review If you don’t see God clearly, you will struggle to follow Him in a personal and intimate way Ephesians 1:17“I keep asking that... the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better.” • God’s Kindness • is delivering • is empowering • calls us to reflect and be divinely kind people

  3. “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” John 7:37-38 • The Greek word belief = πιστεύω[ pisteuō ] • Action • Entrustment • Implication • Commitment Matthew 9: 23-24 “Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” Jesus never says that we have to manufacture some high level of faith or certainty Matthew 17:20 “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” “I will make you a thirst quencher... I will transform your life!” The message of the Gospel is about what we get saved into; more than what we’re saved from

  4. “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” John 7:37-38 First example The Blind Beggar • As a blind man in ancient culture • Judged • Outcast • Unloved Luke 18:35-38 As Jesus approached Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging. When he heard the crowd going by, he asked what was happening. They told him, ‘Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.’ He called out, ‘Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!’ • As a beggar in ancient culture • No family • No Power • Spiritually void

  5. “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” John 7:37-38 First example The Blind Beggar • As a blind man in ancient culture • Judged • Outcast • Unloved Luke 18:39 Those who led the way rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, ‘Son of David, have mercy on me!’ • As a beggar in ancient culture • No family • No Power • Spiritually void

  6. “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” John 7:37-38 First example The Blind Beggar • As a blind man in ancient culture • Judged • Outcast • Unloved Luke 18:40-41 Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him. When he came near, Jesus asked him,‘What do you want me to do for you?’ ‘Lord, I want to see,’ he replied. • As a beggar in ancient culture • No family • No Power • Spiritually void

  7. “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” John 7:37-38 First example The Blind Beggar Luke 18:42-43 Jesus said to him, ‘Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.’ Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God. When all the people saw it, they also praised God. • As a blind man in ancient culture • Judged • Outcast • Unloved • As a beggar in ancient culture • No family • No Power • Spiritually void The Greek word followed = ἀκολουθέω[ akoloutheō ] - belief Transformed from thirsty into a thirst quencher by the empowering presence

  8. “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” John 7:37-38 Second example The Roman Centurion Luke 7:6-8 Lord, don’t trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. That is why I did not even consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, “Go”, and he goes; and that one, “Come”, and he comes. I say to my servant, “Do this”, and he does it.’ Powerless

  9. “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” John 7:37-38 Second example The Roman Centurion Powerless Luke 7:9-10 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd following him, he said, ‘I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel.’ Then the men who had been sent returned to the house and found the servant well. A man who goes from having his thirst quenched; to becoming a thirst quencher We are not just saved from something; the greatness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, is that we are saved into something

  10. “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” John 7:37-38 Third example The Sinful Woman Sexually immoral Luke 7:36-37 When one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, he went to the Pharisee’s house and reclined at the table. A woman in that town who lived a sinful life...”

  11. “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” John 7:37-38 Third example The Sinful Woman Luke 7:44-49 Then He turned to the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has washed My feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head. You gave Me no kiss, but this woman has not ceased to kiss My feet since the time I came in. You did not anoint My head with oil, but this woman has anointed My feet with fragrant oil. Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.” (NKJV) Sexually immoral And the beauty of the Gospel is, we don’t just get saved from our thirst, we get transformed into thirst quenchers Jesus doesn’t require a specific amount of certainty or faith in Him

  12. Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness.I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin.You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved.Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Saviour and according to His Word, right now I am saved.Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance. Therefore Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honour to you alone and not to myself.Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life.Amen.
