NNP = GNP - ค่าใช้จ่ายที่กินทุน
Real GDP and Nominal GDP • Nominal GDP Gross domestic product without any correction for inflation; the same as GDP; the value of all goods and services newly produced in a country during the same period of time, usually a year. • Real GDP A measure of the value of all the goods and services newly produced in a country during some period of time, adjusted for inflation.
Real National Incomet= Money National Incomet×100 Price Indext • Real National Incomet= P0×Qt • Real National Income2550 = ราคาปีฐาน ×Q 2550
Nominal GDP in 2004 = 15×1,000+5×2,000 =25,000 Nominal GDP in 2005 = 30×1,300+10×2,600 =65,000 2. Real GDP in 2004 = 15×1,000+5×2,000 =25,000 Real GDP in 2005 = 15×1,300+5×2,600 =32,500
Real GDP = Real GDP t - Real GDP t -1 ×100 Real GDP t -1
Real GDP • = Real GDP t - Real GDP t -1 ×100 • = Real GDP 2548 - Real GDP 2547 ×100 • = (150-100)×100 = 50 Real GDP t -1 Real GDP2547 100
MeasuringNational Income • Three Ways to Measure National Income • The Production Approach • The Expenditure Approach • The Income Approach
Production Approach • This approach includes 2 methods; • Final goods and services method The value added method- - - to avoid the “double counting” problem.
The following items excluded: • Intermediate goods • Non- marketed economic activities • Transfer payment • Used product • Illegal product and underground economy • Financial instruments
GNE = C + I + G + X - M • Expenditure Approach • Total spending in the economy is divided into four categories: • Personal Consumption Expenditures • Gross Private Domestic Investment • Government Purchases of Goods& Services • Net Exports
Private Consumption Expenditures: C • Consumption : purchases of final goods and services by households. • The following items excluded; • Second hand goods • Residential investment: purchases of new houses and apartment buildings. • Transfer payment
Gross Private Domestic Investment: I • Business fixed investment: investment by firms in physical capital, such as factories and equipment. • New construction • Producer durable equipment • Residential investment • Inventory investment: a change in the stock of inventories from one date to another.
Government Purchase of Goods and Services: G • Government purchases: • Purchases by federal, state and local governments of new goods and services. • Government outlays are excluded: transfer payments like • Social security • Unemployment compensation • Welfare payment
Net Exports or Trade Balance: (X-M) • Net Exports: the value of exports minus the value of imports • Exports :The total value of the goods and services that people in one country sell to people in other countries. • Imports :The total value of the goods and services that people in one country buy from people in other countries.
Income Approach รายได้ที่มิใช่ผลตอบแทนจากปัจจัยการผลิต ผลตอบแทนจากปัจจัยการผลิต • Rental income of person • Wages and salaries • Net interest • Proprietor’s income, Profit • Indirect business tax • Capital consumption allowances or depreciation
