  3. Who is Eligible to use Text Reader? Students with a current IEP, 504 or PSP taking K-PREP grades 3-8 that qualify for a reader accommodation Should have used other forms of Text Reader prior to spring testing • Should not be introduced just for K-PREP testing Provides for consistent administration of accommodations. Improves testing time/logistics for accommodations. KDE:OAA:DSR:cwg 1/14/14

  4. What is needed to use Text Reader? What does it look like? Minimum Requirements • Microsoft Windows XP or higher • Apple OSX or higher • CD Reader • Each operating system must be capable of running Flash version 10 or higher • Headphones for each student • No dual screen usage No Tablets KDE:OAA:DSR:cwg 1/14/14

  8. When will Text Reader be used? During the regular scheduled K-PREP testing window for spring 2014 • Students will take the same sections of the test as all other students at the same time • Can be used during regular testing and make up testing KDE:OAA:DSR:cwg 1/14/14
