  1. THE DARK SIDE OF LASER TREATMENT FOR VARICOSE VEINS? When the walls and the valves of veins in certain areas, mostly the legs, hands, feet, and ankles become weak, the condition results in twisted and engorged veins that seem to be bulging beneath the surface of the skin. While for some individuals this condition is asymptomatic and only a concern due to cosmetic reasons, a major percentage of the patients experience itching, heaviness, burning, painful aching, and such other symptoms. WHO CAN LOOK FOR THE LASER VEIN TREATMENT? Individuals suffering from varicose or spider vein conditions prefer minimally invasive treatment procedures like laser treatment for varicose veins, in the form of laser therapies. As these two therapies require minimum time (about 45 minutes to an hour) and can be done in an office setting, they have achieved a position of utmost importance. Though these ablation therapies are quite effective, they can give rise to various vein-ablation complications. The laser treatment for spider vein is absolutely effective but as a well- established fact, nothing is flawless and has some problems. So if you are considering this

  2. thing then it is of utmost importance to consult the same pain doctor in New Jersey and read the following to know about the dark side of the treatment. The different laser vein treatments in Clifton complications are as follows: ● Pain: Whether you are going for laser vein treatment Paramus, the procedure is painful and needs to be performed under the administration of a local anesthetic. Once the effect of anesthesia wears off, the burning, aching, and pain can occur in the treated leg and continue for a few days or in some cases, even weeks. Some individuals also witness a temporary failure of sensation, which is because of the damaged nerves along the regions of the treated veins (this sometimes occurs if the treatment is done by inefficient hands). Upon finding yourself in this situation consult the pain doctor NJ. ● Bleeding and bruising: Vein ablation complications arise more due to EVLT or the laser vein treatment. The procedure involves the insertion of a catheter through a small incision into the vein that is affected by varicose. Then laser energy is passed through the catheter that scars the damaged vein and ultimately seals it. The closed vein gets absorbed in the body in several weeks. However, this treatment procedure can lead to bruising and bleeding in the area where the incision is done and sometimes along the vein which has undergone the treatment. Though the bleeding

  3. from the incision area does not last longer than half an hour, treating the bruising can take a bit more time. ● Scarring: Vein ablation procedures sometimes result in scarring, at the area of the incision. If you are undergoing surface EVLT procedure, then there is a risk of moderate scars and burns. ● Recurrence: According to a report, the recurrence rate for laser ablation procedure is five percent, so there is always a chance that these varicose veins might recur. In such cases, the doctors recommend going for additional treatments even after the ablation therapy is done.
