  1. ENERGY NEEDED FOR SUCCESSFUL LIFE

  2. WHAT SUCCESS REQUIRES • Success requires physical and mental energy. That’s why high performers in every industry focus their attention on how to generate the energy necessary to succeed. • Successful people strive to master their physiology, which is one of the six Pillars of High Performance.

  3. 6 Pillars of High Performance

  4. What are the six Pillars of High Performance? They are: Physiology Psychology Productivity Persuasion Presence Purpose

  5. Physiology • YOUR BODY COMPOSITION AND MAKE UP - How you treat your body affects every area of your performance, including your ability to do your job, enjoy your relationships and hobbies, and live a long, healthy life.

  6. Psychology • Your mind provides a powerful tool—if you train it on the thoughts and beliefs that serve you. • On the other hand, if your mind is filled with negative thoughts and limiting beliefs, you’ll find it difficult to succeed.

  7. Productivity • Productivity is not just about churning out work. It’s about having productive relationships, workouts, conversations, hobbies, and free time. Of course, the more productive you are at work—the more you get done in less time—the more time you have for the “other” things in your life.

  8. Persuasion • You can use your influence in positive ways. It’s true that persuasion is necessary for selling or getting people to commit to something they may not want to do. However, when you serve as a positive role model, inspire others, or help people, you use your ability to persuade.

  9. Presence • Your ability to be present in any situation dictates your outcome or results. If you are not present your relationships deteriorate. • Become present—conscious, aware, interested, and focused in the moment—and all your results will change for the better. Your relationship will improve. You will complete your work more efficiently and produce higher quality products. You get the most out of each day because you aren’t living in the future or the past.

  10. Purpose • When you know your Big Why, your passion drives you forward to achieve your goals and dreams. High performers revolve all their actions and decisions around fulfilling their purpose.

  11. On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the highest), how do you rate yourself in these six areas of high performance? If you don’t score a 10 in each area, it’s time to master the six Pillars of High Performance! Time to

  12. Build Up Your Brain Power • Taking good care of your body helps you build up brain power. Your brain is a part of your body, but it has special needs that help it power up when necessary.

  13. Be careful what you tell you mind about your energy level. If you continually tell yourself you are tired and worn out, you will be. If, instead, you tell yourself you are strong, energetic, and able to climb tall mountains and run marathons (or whatever you need or want to do), you will be. Your mind believes whatever you tell it—consciously or unconsciously. Tell it “I am tired,” and your body responds to that suggestion. Tell it “I am energized,” and your body responds to that suggestion as well.

  14. Just how committed are you to your goal? How important is it for you, and what are you willing to sacrifice in order to achieve it? • If you focus on the excitement of discovery, improving, exploring and experimenting, your motivation will always be fueled. If you focus only on results, your motivation will be like weather—it will die the minute you hit a storm. • Make your journey and process fun • Thoughts influence feelings and feelings determine how you view your work. You have a lot of thoughts in your head, and you always have a choice of which ones to focus on: the ones that will make you emotionally stuck (fears, doubts) or the ones that will move you forward (excitement, experimenting, trying new things, stepping out of your comfort zone). Steps to Achieve Success in Life

  15.
