  • At age 2 his mother was banished by Caligula and his inheritance was seized
  • Caligula was later killed and Aggrippa was recalled from exile.
  • Nero was adopted by Claudius

  • At age 14 Nero was appointed proconsul (51 CE)
  • Claudius died in 54 CE
  • Nero took over as Emperor at age 16
