  2. The Work Order is a CRITICAL tool • Be sure to print clearly so anyone can read your writing • Fill Out as much information as you can • Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) Date and vehicle mileage are important for any future warranty claims

  4. Details are important • Different businesses use different forms • If you are not sure what to include ASK • Filling in too much information is never a problem.

  5. Concern: • Why is the customer bringing in this vehicle? • Question the customer until you are sure you know why the car is in the shop. • Then clearly write this as the concern. • In this example the customer asks to get the battery recharged. After talking you find they really want it fixed so the battery doesn’t keep going dead.
