Civil Engineering and Management/Construction Management and Engineering • Civil Engineering and Management and Construction Management and Engineering are 2-year programmes • Programme consists of a deficiency programme (if necessary), 9-11 courses of 7,5 ECTS, a pre-thesis course (7,5 ECTS) and a MSc-thesis project (30 ECTS) • English language

Registration as a CEM/CME-student • If BSc Civiele Techniek Universiteit Twente: automatically via BOZ-CiT after graduation • All other BSc programmes Universiteit Twente: via study counsellor CiT (Annet de Kiewit) • All HBO/WO-students not Universiteit Twente: via application form http://master.utwente.nl • Subscription for courses via Blackboard ultimately 3 weeks before the start of each quartile

Admission requirements Dutch WO-students • BSc-degree Civiele Techniek Universiteit Twente or TU Delft or • Relevant BSc-degree (i.e. TBK, WB, TW, TN, Bouwkunde), maximum sizedeficiencyprogramme 15 ECTS or • Exemptionfrom examination committee or ‘harde knip’ committee N.B. ‘Harde knip’ is introduced as of 2012-2013 bylaw

Deficiency programme Dutch WO-students • At most 15 ECTS, otherwise registration as bachelor student • Part of the MSc-programme • Size dependent on BSc-programme and specialization within MSc-programme • Examples: • WO-TN, specialization WEM: Water (4 ECTS) en Inleiding Waterbeheer (6 ECTS) • WO-TBK, CME: Masterdeficienties Bouw (7,5 ECTS)

  10. Timetable • Two courses per quartile • Courses within a track will have as little overlap in their course schedule as possible

  11. Programme requirements Civil Engineering and Management • At least 1 design course • At least 2 advanced (*) courses • Course Integration & Orientation (195800500) not available for CEM-students

  12. Programme requirements Construction Management and Engineering • 5 cornerstones • At least 30 ECTS specialisations • After one year possibility to transfer to other location

Free programme • More than one course outside the courses offered by CEM/course(s) outside the courses offered by CME and/or • Not being able to meet the programme requirements Examples: • Courses other Dutch university (not being TU Delft or TU Eindhoven for CME) • Courses other programme University of Twente • Exchange programme abroad • Assignment

  14. Free programme Requirements • Courses should be MSc-courses • Courses should not overlap with CEM/CME-courses • The final attainment level (exit qualifications) of the programme should be intact • The MSc-thesis project should be done within the CEM/CME departments
