  2. Early and School Life. • He went to Upper State Iowa University until 1896.

  3. His most important work and inventions. • His most important invention is the coin controlled parking meter. It was invented on purpose. You put a coin in it and you will be able to park somewhere for a certain amount of time. After that amount of time you will get a parking ticket. Some parking meters only accept certain coins. The fist one was installed in July 16, 1935.

  4. Interesting Information about the life of the inventor. • A judge once accused him of corruption knocking him out in a hotel lobby. At court, he accidentally killed a bystander. After that he moved to Oklahoma City to run the Oklahoma news. He was the editor until they transferred him to Oklahoma City News. He switched from Republican to Democrat and ran unsuccessfully for United States Senate.

My answer to “How did the inventor and his or her inventions impact society or world in which you live in? • The parking meter made it were people who worked downtown couldn’t park in places for shoppers without a price. He also helped some people realize that paying is a way to earn things. It also helped because they would generate revenue for a growing city.
