  2. Understand the Nature of God Living in Fear Worried that you might have overlooked something, so God will condemn you? Psalm 103 gives us Strong Evidence to Trust God and Remember His Love!

  3. God wants us to be saved: that is just how He is – caring about us! Hebrews 6:9-15 “. . . God is not unjust to forget your work . . .” • The world continues: this is a testament to God’s patience. 2 Peter 3:9 “. . . not willing that any should perish . . .” • God’s goal is salvation for every person. Ezek 18:21-23 “‘Do I have any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?’, says the Lord . . .”

No Guessing re: What He Wants 2Pet 1:3 – “. . . given us everything pertaining to life and godliness”

How God Deals with Man, vs 6-13 • Compassion, Graciousness, Slow to Anger, Mercy Isa 57:16 “For I will not contend forever, Nor will I always be angry; For the spirit would fail before Me, And the souls which I have made.” Micah 7:18-19 “Who is a God like You, Pardoning iniquity and passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in mercy. 19 He will again have compassion on us, And will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins Into the depths of the sea. “ Giving us less than we deserve to get, or we would not survive Psalm 130:3 “If You, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?” Ezra 9:13 “since You our God have punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and have given us such deliverance as this” Showing us mercy Eph 2:4-7 “But God Who is rich in mercy . . . made us alive””

Jer 31:3 “The Lord has appeared to me, saying: ‘Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love.’” Psalm 100:5 – “His Mercy is everlasting . . . ” A Breath that is Gone, Psa 78:39 Water Spilled on Dry Ground, 2 Sam 14:14 Wildflowers Faded, Isa 40:6-8 Morning Mist Evaporated, James 4:14

  17. The Permanence of God’s Love, vs 14-19 • His compassion is given to those who keep His covenant. Psalm 25:10 – “All the paths of the Lordare mercy and truth to such as keep His covenant and His testimonies.” 1 Thess 4:11b – “you ought to walk and to please God.” His reign is permanent and He is in control.

Bless the Lord, O my soul! Put Your Trust in the God Who Cares for You
