  8. Menu Development TrainingGrant 2009-2010 • Goal: Plan and develop cycle menus that meet the HealthierUS School Challenge • Trainers: NFSMI, Oxford, MS • Date: May 12-13, 2009 and October 2009, January & March 2010 • # of Directors: 100 • Selection: Invitation by AL State Staff

Meal Counting & Claiming Training July • Cashier/Manager/Directors • 21 – Huntsville- UAH-Student Union • 22- Montgomery- Auburn Montgomery– Taylor Center • 23 - Mobile- Holiday Inn, Downtown • 28- Pelham- Civic Center • Registration will be required • Maximum capacity = 200 • Attendance is limited – REGISTER EARLY

Summer Manager/Director Training • Menu Driven Management- 1 Day only • Purpose to provide participants with the concepts of using the menu as the basis of day to day operations from • Staffing using work schedules • Ordering • Completing production records • Inventory management • Financial management

Summer Managers/Directors Training • Locations • Northwest – 2 days *(2 trainers) • Northeast – 2 days * (2 trainers) • Birmingham (Central area) – 3 days * (2 trainers) • Montgomery ( Central area) – 2 days *(2 trainers) • Southwest – 2 days * (2 trainers) • Southeast – 2 days * (2 trainers) • PRE- REGISTRATION is REQUIRED • *number of days per location dependent on pre-registration numbers****
