  • FNS developing a series of one-page fact sheets to provide practical tips on updating menus and recipes and to serve as training materials.

CRE Training

  • CRE Task Group updated CRE Forms and Instructions and is preparing training for SAs.

  • Four CRE training sessions planned:

    • Sacramento, CA in April, 2008

    • Denver, CO in May, 2008

    • New Orleans, LA in early June, 2008

    • Annapolis, MD in mid- June 16 – 20, 2008

  • Over 500 State reviewers and others will attend.

  • Training will lead to updating CRE Guidance.


Procurement training

  • Will take place in two segments starting in spring 2008

    • Web-based modules

    • “Interactive training”

  • Target audience is SA staff working with procurements for NSLP and SBP

  • Content: general procurement planning and administration, and requirements of the new procurement rule.
