This is a picture of my skirt before anything was done to it.
Step 1. • Since I wanted to make a skirt out of this piece of clothing, I cut at least half of it off. The cut looked really simple so just to make it better, I decided to cut it so it looks symmetrical.
Step 2. • My second decision in making my summer skirt was to cut the skirt in half so when I open it, its like a long cloth. • I then took a nice piece of fabric that had lime green and yellow flower patterns and sewed it on the top of the skirt.
Step 3. • My third step was sewing this pattern down to make it a skirt.
Step 4. • I folded the fabric at the end of the skirt and sewed it to make it look neater.
Step 5. • I decided to sew on some beads at the end of the dress to add some more colour. I sewed the beads with green thread to match with what I created in step 3.
Step 6. • I found a ribbon in my wardrobe so I sewed this on the top of my skirt.
Evaluation. • I am pretty happy with my finished product. If I did have more time to spend on it, I would have put more colourful things on the skirt because I think that it looks a bit too plain. • Overall, I really enjoyed creating this piece of work because I have learnt new things and it was just a really fun activity to do
