  3. Introduction • What is the Web Course Catalogue? • A new comprehensive web course catalogue on the Uni web site. • Replaces the existing hard copy catalogue. • Includes all schools and colleges. • Includes both UG and PGT courses (but not programmes). • Published automatically from PIP.

  4. Timetable • What is the timetable for publication of 2012-13 catalogue? • Data can be updated at any time in PIP Now • Previewing of catalogue available May 2012 • ‘Check and Update’ in departments May to July • Senate Office final checks Mid July • Publication July 20th 2012

Checking • What is the checking procedure? • Each school has nominated some named ‘data checkers’. • A preview of the catalogue can be viewed. • Changes are made via PIP and must be approved. • Changes, once approved, are immediately visible in the preview. • Once updates are complete, one person checks a box in PIP to say the department is ready for publication.

  9. Data Updates • Key Data Updates • Although checking is on a school basis, publication will be by Subject Area only. You need to decide which Subject Areas your courses will appear under and indicate this in PIP. • Honours and PGT courses are included. • A Short Description is be required for each course. • Make sure your courses are correctly marked as ‘Available to Visiting’ students or not.

  11. Communication • What’s next? • You can begin updating your 2012 information in PIP at any time. • We will email you with a link and documentation when the Preview is available. • We will keep you updated and provide support throughout the process.
