Group 12: Kmax Designs

Our project at Kmax Designs focuses on developing a full-size mountain bike that can be folded down to a compact size once it's no longer in use. This design aims to deliver stability and comfort for off-road applications, an aspect often lacking in smaller bikes. Key parameters include an innovative frame design, a simple folding mechanism, rugged stability, and aesthetic appeal. We are preparing to finalize our construction schedule and will commence frame construction next term, depending on our analysis, including safety factors and finite element analyses.

  3. Objective • The goal of our project is to build a full size mountain bike that folds into a much smaller size when you're finished using it. • Typically these bikes are small and unable to provide the stability and comfort for off road applications.

  4. dESIGN Parameters • What do we want to provide in a design? • Innovative frame Design • Rugged, Stable Frame • Simplicity of folding Mechanism • Portability of Design • Aesthetic Appeal
