  2. First, recycle clay via The Pug Mill

  3. Wedge this clay completely on the wedging table

  4. Using a wire cutter and magazinesCreate an even slabapproximately 1 inch thick

  5. Cut your slab into 2 tiles with exact right angled corners. • Use a t square to adjust corners • Both tiles must be identical

  6. Use a design or piece of plant life to draw your design

  7. Carve away everything that is not the design so the end effect is the image being raised above the tile.

  8. Tiles are graded on neatness and craftsmanship. • Store unfinished tiles in a plastic bag to prevent drying and cracking. • Continue to refine edges and smooth background surfaces. • Put a stylized representation of your initials in the front. • Print your name neatly on the back. • Fill our a self evaluation sheet and turn in for credit. Due Feb 12th in green ware
