People with BMI of 25.9–29 are known as overweight; BMI over 30 is considered obese. • Obesity gives critical implications for the health of an individual such as Coronary heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, Cancers, Liver and Gallbladder disease, stroke, etc. They all end up with a consequence of death.

  3. Treatment of Obesity • Exercise regularly to burn out sufficient calories out of our body. • Medication use are designed to reduce the body fat of the actual obese patient. Obesity drugs only work when its been used in combination with a healthy diet and regular exercise. • Go on a low-fat, high-complex carbohydrate, high fiber diet. Mainly having vegetables everyday, it benefits us with losing weight because they contain low calories, less water retention which is low in sodium and they fill stomach quickly which is high in fiber. • Ask friends to help you resist on having food that contains high calories, instead you should have low fat food that helps you to loose weight such as vegetables.

  4. How does Obesity affect on our community? • The death rate extrapolations Obesity in just USA are 300,000 per year, 25,000 per month, 5,769 per week, 821 per day, 34 per hour. The rate is still increasing every year. Therefore, the population will reduce dramatically each year. • Things will need to be more sturdy so it will effect the economics because they are spending more money on buildings to support fat people • It effects health and transportation so there will need to be a lot more transport not by foot, this would certainly create more air pollution which ruins the Earth.

  5. How are we doing now to prevent/reduce the disease? • Entertainments are all developing to the level which people have to be active to enjoy the fun, such as Wii, big movements are required in many games, this encourages people not to be lazy but active. • Most of the fast food restaurants are now providing vegetables like salads meal to encourage people to go on a healthy diet and reduce the rate of people getting obese from having too much fast food. • There are many advertisements on suggesting people to exercise regularly. There are Marathon events such as ING and Olympic Youth happening world wide, the participations each year were massive, which means this idea persuades a lot of people worldwide.
