  • A professional coaching staff with 3 full time and 18 part time coaches
  • A set of values guiding everything we do
  • People development more than player development
  • Parents with a high degree of involvement
  • Anchored and profund technical framework (club, team, player and coach development)
succes factors for a grasroots club setting goals
SUCCES FACTORS FOR A GRASROOTS CLUB – SETTING GOALS

"If you don't know where you are going, you'll probably end up somewhere else«

«In Ready FC all members enjoy themselves, and get challenges depending on their level and motivation»

succes factors for a grasroots club strategy
SUCCES FACTORS FOR A GRASROOTS CLUB - STRATEGY
  • Drawing up the road to our destination
  • Ambitious and realistic to our goal
  • Anchoring and support from parents, players and society
  • Sustainability
succes factors for a grasroots club framework
SUCCES FACTORS FOR A GRASROOTS CLUB – FRAMEWORK
  • 1 out of 100-300 players ends up professional. What about the others? We want to develop good citizens.
  • People development is more important than player development, BUT players need to feel the player development
  • Same basic ideas as Norwegian FAs Quality Club Concept
  • Quality in: managment, technical framework, recruitment, training of people, people relations and communication
  • The right financial model
  • The right people (intrinsic motivation and club)
  • The right values (human leadership)
people development
PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT
  • The "Ready Code" - Code of conduct
  • Readyidols and assistent coaches
  • Group exercices in training camps
  • Make healthy dinner for your family
  • Referee course from 13 years old
  • Autonomy in trainings
  • Self regulated exercices (i.e. warm up)
  • Making players more self-relaint by communicating directly to the coach
  • Parents and coaches get more than football education
leadership
LEADERSHIP
  • Leadership based on Jim Collins’ research. Find coaches who share the club’s values. Employ a coach for the club, not only for a team. The same thinking with volunteers and parent coaches.
  • Parents meet with the management every season (club strategy, year plan, roles)
  • When rules are broken, the sport management and coach meet and contact the parents
  • Strong focus on coach development (next slide)
  • Implementation of technical framework («you can only do this»)
  • Learning happens only in healthy relations
our coaches
OUR COACHES
  • The full time coaches are respected like other employees in private business sector (terms, pension, office, study tours)
  • We have coaches who choose Ready because of the project, development model and environment
  • What kind of coaches are we recruiting?
who are the best coaches for ready
