  2. RECAP: CollegeCouches • Goal: Allows Princeton students to find reliable, temporary lodging by connecting students with alumni throughout the country • Useful for student organizations such as a capella groups, club sports teams, and other traveling Princeton groups

  3. 2 SQL Databases: 1 for temporary storage, 1 for functional use after the user has clicked their unique confirmation link.

  4. Search • The search functionality of our website is one of the most important services that CollegeCouches provides. The website allows a user to search for a Princeton alum based on his/her preferences. • The user is given two categories: city and number of guests searching for temporary housing. Under these three categories, the user can choose his/her preference. Our search functionality then goes through the SQL database containing the information of each of the alum hosts and provides the user with a set of profiles for those hosts possessing the desired qualities.

  5. Profile • Privacy • Profiles are only visible to registered users who are confirmed as current Princeton students or alumni • Host • Basic information regarding the host. This information is provided to users in order to provide a greater sense of comfort to our users in choosing a suitable host. • User • User provides basic information that can be used to give to the potential host. The host can use this profile to decide whether or not to host the individual.
