  3. FIRST Robotics • For the Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology • International organization promoting STEM

  4. FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) • 18” by 18” by 18” robot • Teams of 4 to 10 • Tetrix (metal) pieces as well as Lego pieces • Programming in RobotC • Different challenge every year

  5. FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) • Washing machine-sized robots • Teams of 30-40 students from all over FUSD • Meet at DeVry University • Offers building, business, and volunteering opportunities • Different schedule from FTC

  6. Tech and Robotics Club • Workshops • Mentorship • Volunteering Opportunities • ½ of the FIRST qualifier (on request)

  7. Events for this Year • Workshops • See officers if your team would like to host a workshop on electronics, programming, passing inspection, etc. • MC Week • Selling food! Yay! • InventorFest • Invention competition…more details later, but big prizes

  8. Membership Fees • $5 per person for the month of September • Will increase by $1/week afterward • Give to Arnav, or any officer

  9. T-Shirt Design

  10. Different Groups • New system • Media • Grants

  11. Raffle! • Winner will be announced at next meeting • Write your name on the slip and put it in the tub
