StudentRecords • According to The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) all student records belong to the student. • Parents can complete the “Verification of Student Dependent Status Form” through the Registrar’s Office in order to have access to a student record. Please visit the Registrar’s website at www.registrars.kent.edu for more information about FERPA. • It is the student’s responsibility to: • Check their official kent.eduand FlashLine account for important information. • Verify that their address information is correct. • Ensure that their account is paid on time. Student Billing • Students will receive an e-mail at their official university e-mail address advising them when bills are available for viewing. • The bill is a “snap shot” of their student account. • Up-to-date account information is available to students 24/7 through their FlashLine account, under Student Tools/My Account. • NOT all registration activity may result in a statement being generated prior to a due date. It is the student's responsibility to verify due dates. • Due Dates can be found on the Bursar’s website. • Authorized User. A person other than the student may have • the ability to view and pay a student’s bill as an Authorized User.   9. StudentAccountInformation • Step-by-Step instructions regarding access to student • account information can be found on the Bursar’s website. • * Copies of the step-by-step document will be available during the resource fair *

PaymentOptions • The Bursar's Office accepts cash, personal check or electronic debiting from a checking or savings account, money order or cashier’s check, MasterCard, Discover, American Express or Diner’s Club • Single Payment – This is the most direct, easiest option: • Credit and Debit card payments can only be made through • our secure website at https://payonline.kent.edu/payonline. A • convenience fee is assessed for Credit and Debit Card payments. • Electronic Check payments can also be made at • https://payonline.kent.edu/payonline with no fee. • You can pay with check, cash, or money order by mail or in person at the • Bursar's Office or at any Regional campus.   11. PaymentOptions • Installment Payment Plan – Students make 3 installment payments (not available in Summer). A $35 service charge is assessed per term. • Tuition Management Plan - Spreads tuition charges both for Fall and Spring semesters over a 10 month period. A $95 enrollment fee is assessed for the 10 month period. For more information visit www.afford.com. • Kent First Payment Program -This plan is for tuition cost only and is available to Freshmen at the Kent Campus. • Kent Plus Payment Program - Covers room and board fees for three academic years. • Additional payment information, such as using Financial Aid or a 529 • College Savings Plan can be found on the Bursar’s website. Refunds • KSU cannot disburse financial aid to a student account until 10 days  before the first day of classes for which the student is enrolled and once all requirements have been met.  • A student’s Title IV Federal Aid will automatically pay their current institutional charges (i.e. tuition, fees, room and board) and up to $200 for a prior award year institutional charge.  Bursar’s Office • 131 Schwartz Center • (330) 672-2626 • bursar@kent.edu • www.kent.edu/bursar

  14. Refunds • Direct Deposit: Will allow for fast access to a student refund. This can be done through a student’s FlashLine account under Student Tools/My Account.
