Basic Beliefs • African religion made no distinction between religion and other aspects of their lives. • Supreme God is above the living, lesser gods, sprits, and ancestors walk beside living and guide them. • Ritual actions may relieve the problems and suffering of human life. • There is a supreme being, a creator, sustainer, provider, and controller of all creation.
