    6. 1. Making Calls on Your Phone A. Placing a Call Lift the handset and dial a number. Press the NewCall soft key or Speaker Phone button and dial a number. Press the Redial soft key. Dial the number with the phone on hook. then press the Dial soft key or lift the handset or press Speaker Phone button.

    7. B. Answering a Call Answer with the handset Press Speaker Phone button C. Ending a Call End the call by placing handset on hook or press Speaker Phone button.

Getting Notified When a Busy Line Is Available Using Call Back If you call an extension and the line is busy or the call goes unanswered, you can use the Call Back feature to receive notification when the extension is available to take a call. Press CallBack softkey during a call if dialed line is busy or unanswered.

    9. 3. Viewing and Dialing from the Phone Logs You can view your call history i.e. Missed, Received and Placed calls and place calls from the phone logs. Press the Menu button. Select Directories. Use the Navigation button to select the desired directory i.e. Missed, Received or Placed calls, and press the Dial softkey to dial to that number.

    10. 4. Searching and Dialing from the Phone Directory Your phone might come configured with a searchable corporate directory that allows you to easily find and dial phone numbers of colleagues. Press the Menu button. Select Directories. Select Directory Services. Select Corporate Directory. Enter search criteria to retrieve a record To place a call from directory, use the Navigation button to select the record, press the Dial softkey.

    11. 4(a). Search Criteria Enter Deptt name in First Name and/or, Enter Designation in Last Name and/or, Enter Phone Number in Number. For Example:- If DOP is entered in first name then it will give list of all phone nos. in DOP deptt. To find particular person in DOP, enter his designation in Last Name also. To find the Phone numbers of particular designation, for eg. Secretaries, enter Secy in Last Name, then it will give phone nos. of all Secretaries after pressing search softkey.

    12. 5. Using Hold Press the Hold softkey to hold the call during conversation. To retrieve a Hold call, press the Resume softkey.

    13. 6. Extending Speed Dial Functionality Press the button on right side of LCD screen for speed dialing to the number stored against the label. Press an abbreviated dial entry index number (one or two digits) while your phone is on-hook, and then press the AbbrDial softkey.

    14. 7. Redirecting Calls on Your Phone Transferring Calls During a call, press the Transf softkey. This puts the call on hold Dial the number or office extension to which you want to transfer the call. When it rings on the other end, press Transf again. Or, when the party answers, announce the call and then press Transf.

    15. 8. Forwarding Calls to Another Extension Press the CFwdAll softkey. You should hear two beeps. Enter the number to which you want to forward all of your calls, exactly as you would if you were placing a call to that number. To cancel call forwarding, press the CFwdAll softkey.

    16. 9. Making Conference Calls on Your Phone During a call, press the more softkey, then the Confrn softkey. Doing so automatically activates a new line and puts the first party on hold. Place a call to another number or extension. When the call connects, press Confrn again to add the new party to the conference call. Repeat these steps to add parties to the conference call.

    17. 10. Customizing Settings on Your Phone A. Adjusting the Handset and Speakerphone Volume You can adjust the volume of the caller for the handset and speakerphone individually. Press the up or down Volume button when the handset or speakerphone, is in use. To save this volume setting for future calls, press the Save softkey.

    18. B. Adjusting the Ringer Volume Press the up or down Volume button while you are not on a call. Continue to press the Volume button to hear sample rings and to adjust the volume to the desired level. The ringer volume is automatically saved.

    19. C. Personalizing the Ringer Sound Press the Menu button. From the menu, select Settings and then use the Navigation button to select Ring Type and press the Select softkey. To set the ring type, use the Navigation button to highlight the Ring and press the Select softkey. Press the OK softkey to accept and save your ringer selection.

    20. D. Changing the LCD Screen Contrast Press the Menu button. Select Settings. From the Settings menu, use the Navigation button to highlight Contrast and press the Select softkey. To set the desired contrast level on your base phonepress the Up or Down softkeys. Press the OK softkey, then the Save softkey. Press the Save softkey to accept and save your changes, and to exit the Settings menu.
