  5. Cisco 7914, 7915, 7916 Add-On Modules • 7914 - 14 programmable buttons • Line Appearances, Speed Dials or both • 7915 & 7916 – 24 programmable buttons • Speed Dials, Busy Lamp Fields or Call Pickup

  6. LCD Display • Displays line appearance and speed dials • Provides features such as date, time, calling party name, calling party number, number dialed • Soft keys for added features • Icons depicting call status

  7. Phone Features • LIGHT ON HANDSET - Indicates message waiting and flashes when a call is incoming • SCROLL UP/DOWN KEY • Scrolls between calls • Through directories, services, settings • VOLUME • Controls ringer (auto save) • Incoming caller (press save) • HEADSET – Built-in headset port • MUTE - Only “mutes” your side of call (you can still hear caller)‏ • SPEAKER

Feature Keys • Messages – Direct access to voice mail • Directories – Identifies incoming calls, call logs, and directory information • Missed Calls • Received Calls • Placed Calls • IPhone Directory • Personal Directory • NOTE: Calls can be placed from directories (must edit if off campus calls) • Settings • Contrast – (set contrast)‏ • Ring type – (set ringer) • Services – configured on web http://iphone.voip.ufl.edu/ccmuser

  9. Soft Keys • Four soft keys that guide users through call features and functions • On screen display changes based on operation you are doing • Not all soft keys apply to our system

  10. On Hook – Soft Keys • 1-Redial • 2-New Call – Press to make new call • 3-CFwdALL • With phone on hook: • Press key • Dial number to which you want phone forwarded (display will show ‘Forwarded to XXXXX’) • To remove, press CFwdALL once • 4-Blank

  11. Off Hook – Soft Keys • First screen • 1-Redial • 2-End Call • 3-CFwdALL • 4-more (takes you to 2nd screen) • Second screen • 1-Pick up • 2-GPickup • 3-Meet Me • 4-more (takes you to 1st screen)‏

On a Call – Soft Keys • First screen • 1-Hold • 2-EndCall • 3-Transfer • 4-more (takes you to 2nd screen) • Second screen • 1-Park • 2-Conf • 3-ConfList • 4-more (takes you to 3rd screen)‏ • Third screen • 1-Select • 2-Join • 3-Direct Transfer • 4-more (takes you to 4th screen) • Fourth screen • 1-VidMode • Not Used

  13. On Hold – Soft Keys • First screen • 1-Resume • 2-New Call • 3-DirTrfr • 4-more (takes you to 2nd screen) • Second screen • 1-Select • 2-Join • 3-blank • 4-more (takes you to 1st screen)‏

  14. Information Key • (i) or ? Key • Press this key (i), then any of the 4 surrounding keys or the soft key for information about that key. • Press twice for help with using “help key”

  15. Call Functions This overview will show how to: ANSWER A CALL TOGGLE BETWEEN CALLS TRANSFER A CALL CONFERENCE CALLS

  16. ANSWER A CALL There are several ways to answer a call • Pick up receiver • Press speaker button • Press Answer soft key • If you are using a headset, you must press Answer soft key • Press line button

ANSWER WHILE ON EXISTING CALL (Toggle)‏ • Press the Answer soft key when you are on a call and another call comes in • No need to put first call on Hold (the phone will do it for you)‏ • The call you are on will be grayed and show steady • The call on hold will blink • You can toggle between calls with the bluetoggle key (Up / Down Arrow Key) • Press EndCall soft key when you want to hang up from the call you are on • You will then see Resume on the soft keys • Press Resume • Retrieve call

  18. CALL TRANSFER To transfer a call from your line to another line • Press Transfer soft key • Dial number • If you wish to announce the call, stay on the line. • If no answer or call is rejected, press End Call then Resume. • Press Transfer soft key Example: to transfer to extension 392-1234 • Transf, 2-1234, Transf

  19. CONFERENCE CALLS • Dial number (or from existing call)‏ • Press more then Confrn soft keys • Dial second number • After you connect to second number, press Confrn soft key again • Press Confrn soft key • Dial third number • After you connect to third number, press Confrn soft key again
