Cotton TailSylvilagus floridanus • Cottontails are herbivores • Their predators include owls, hawks, cats, dogs and cars • They rest in flat places or burrows built by other animals • They can have as many as 35 babies a year!
Purple ConeflowerEchinacea purpurea • Grows 2 to 4 feet tall and blooms in the summer. • Prefers moderate moisture • Its roots are often used for medicine • Attracts butterflies in the summer • Seeds feed sparrows and finches in the winter
