  3. Step 1: Set personal info

  4. Step 2: Create a new log in the database

  5. Step 3: Open the log window

  6. Step 4: Set band/frequency

  7. Step 5: Set mode

  8. Step 6: Log a contact • Callsign, class and section • Use space bar, tab or mouse to move forward • Shift-tab or mouse to reverse • => ENTER to log the QSO!!! <=

  9. Step 7: Fix a mistake Full edit: Anything you want Edit menu or right click Quick edit: Just the contact info Double-click the log entry

  10. Step 8: Change operator • Control-O (operator) • Also Config-menu • Easy to do • Hard to remember • Needed for correct GOTA scoring!!!

  11. Step 9: Update contest information

  12. Step 10: Export the log • Things to know: • eQSL wants ADIF • Contests want Cabrillo • LoTW can take both • Summary results?

  14. Step 12: Frill #2&3 Band map Rate window

  15. Your turn!!! • Simulated contest • At Field Day we will almost certainly have computer rig control • band maps & automatic frequency/mode entry • CW and digital stations will be using the function keys
