  3. Writing Decimals as Percents • Write the following as percents: • 0.759 • As a fraction: • Out of 100: • Percent: 75.9% • Your turn: 0.003 • 0.3% • 5.187 • 518.7%

  4. Writing Fractions as Percents • In a slice of cheese pizza, 45 calories are from fat. The total number of calories per slice is 158. About what percent of the calories are not from fat. Round to the nearest tenth of a percent. • Number of calories not from fat: 158 – 45 = 113 • Write the ratio: • Divide: 0.715189… • Round to the thousandth: 0.715 • Write as a percent: 71.5%

  5. Writing Percents as Decimals • 47.5% • As a fraction: • Divide: 0.475 • 0.06% • 0.0006 • 2500% • 25

  6. Ordering Rational Numbers • Change all numbers to decimals, then compare: • Order 0.52, 37%, 0.19, and from least to greatest • Change to decimals: 0.52, 0.37, 0.19, 0.0025 • Order: 0.0025, 0.19, 0.37, 0.52 • So, the order is , 0.19, 37%, 0.52
