QUALITY IMPROVEMENT ACTIVITIES FOR STEERING LINKAGES • ZINC PLATED CLAMPSIn order to reduce the corrosion problems of the tie rods, new zinc plated clamps are proposed to be used.A new supplier will produce the clamps, so validation test have already been made in Ocap’s testing laboratories. FeZn 12 IV S (loom system) following Iveco Standard 18-1102 FEM analysis: Material S355MC - Load 45000N Sigma max: 1300N/mm² - Max deformation 0,2mm OCAP –Technical Improvements
