Solar storms are some of the most dangerous storms ever! Now I am going to tell you all about it!
Solar flares are caused by lines made out of magnetic force tearing through the sun’s surface. A solar storm once in Quebec on March 13, 1989 knocked out power for more than 1 million square kilometers! They disabled connection with satellites and air traffic control community.
Solar storms also cause auroras. (Auroras are what are made when light from the sun collides with the ionosphere, the region of the earth’s atmosphere between the stratosphere and the exosphere.). They can also cause solar flares that are even hotter than the sun itself!
