  3. Background- Bill Joseph Stalin, Leader of Soviet Union prevented people from gaining independence from his rule. Stalin did this by designing a famine in Ukraine preventing people from gaining their own independence

  4. Goals- Brittany Joseph Stalin wanted to seizure of all privately owned farmlands and livestock. he also started a class system and the lowest class was the kulaks also known as the farmers who lived on the streets.

  5. Outcome Jake The Kulaks were left homeless and without any possessions. everything taken away from them even their pots and pans. It was forbidden by law for anyone to help the dispossessed Kulak families

  6. Foreign Interaction Lisa Throughout Europe, America, and Canada of Ukrainian descent were sending food to the people of Ukraine but the Soviet Union was stopping them

  7. What choices did people make that allowed collective violence to happen- Lisa Discrimination of a large group of people may cause violence to occur because there are more people involved.
