Great Apes - Congo • * 626 hunters in 36 villages in Ebola endemic zone educated on the risk of Ebola and reporting of carcasses as part of WCS hunter-based surveillance program • * 1850 kilometers of surveys performed by WCS and regular reports from hunters suggest the ape populations occurring in the center of the country, and east of previous outbreaks remain in healthy numbers.
