  2. Starting Point Collaborative environment for textual scholarship, using German Grid infrastructure Centre for Computing in the Humanities: text-based projects collaborating with various institutions. Online editions, TEI

Objectives for TEXTvre • Integrate with institutional infrastructure at KCL (repository, preservation, ...) • Integrate with and make use of national infrastructures (NGS) • Embed VRE within institutional practices at KCL – textual scholars – and collaborating institutions • Integrate tools to support these scholars (scholar-driven)

  4. Progress so far • Use cases – 3 text-based projects: • Early English Laws • Gascon Rolls • Inscriptions of Roman Tripolitania • Integrated TextGrid with repository • Prototype installation at KCL

  5. Activities in Year 2 • Integrate more tools (including GATE) • Integrate with NGS services • Collaborate with VRERI project gMan • Evaluate with three test cases (and others) • Critical friend visiting in March
