  3. Extension Associates • This is a new classification • Includes two separate job descriptions: • 4-H Associate • Resource Manager Currently there are 18 Extension Associates: - 9 4-H Associates - 2 Resource Managers - 5 Combination 4-H Assoc./Resource Managers

  4. Rehires Continue to be Used Extensively! • Currently there are 32 Retiree-Rehires working in County offices. • They have been an essential element in being able to continue to deliver effective programs. • Counties make up a significant portion of the funding for these positions.

  5. 31 Counties do not currently have a full time home-based county agent.

  6. Status of Filling Agent Positions • We have allocated funds to each district to fill critical agent vacancies. • We are currently in the process of filling 14 positions. • Districts have leveraged county funds extensively to fill these positions.

  7. Points of Discussion • - Counties have stepped up to help fund positions. • - Some counties are experiencing budget problems. • - Some county officials and clientele are not happy. • - How long can we keep the rehires? • - Some situations are not sustainable. • - Allocation of resources to program areas (local priorities)
