Anchored Position: 54’ 07”N by 131’ 57.5W Hull, propeller and rudder damaged 132K gal heavy fuel oil lost Containers: Lost/sunk – Displaced -- Crushed Flooding: Ongoing - Pumps -- DATE/ TIME UNKNOWN The container ship NASSU TRAVELER is anchored 6 nm NE of the entrance to Masset Harbor, Graham Island at approximately 54’ 07”N by 131’ 57.5W in 13 fathoms of water. The vessel sustained hull, propeller and rudder damage along with the loss of several dozen containers and approximately 132K gallons of heavy fuel oil. The vessel is still discharging fuel oil/saltwater from overboard emergency bilge system to maintain stability and control flooding.
