  2. Objectives: • What is the nature and form of conflict between the community and the sanctuary-notified area? Is there a typology in contestation based on the socio-economic characteristics of the community? • What are the costs involved (social, economic and ecological) in sustaining the sanctuary-notified area? • What are the missing links in the governance and institutional mechanism to involve community in the conservation efforts of the sanctuary?
