  2. Transport In Thailand most locals use motor bikes, bikes or trains but for tourists they mostly use tuk tuks , buses and taxies. There is not much of a difference from Singapore's transport except from tuk tuks.

  3. Thailand’s Animals Thailand elephants can sometimes have pink dots on there skin and Thailand tigers can grow up to 10 feet. Also the worst snake to be bitten by in Thailand is the king cobra and some Thailand monkeys can give you rabies. In Thailand people can be very bad to elephants, what they do to them is they go to the jungle and the kill their family and than they retrain them to do tricks. To train them they hit them with big sticks. This also happens with lots of monkeys in Thailand. Lots of tigers are becoming extinct in Thailand because people hunt them down and kill them for their skin so they can sell it.

  4. Religion in Thailand Most people who are from Thailand are Buddhist, the second religion which is mostly in Thailand is Muslim. People who are buddhist have lots of beliefs which are that if you meditate for a long time each day than you will get peace. Also buddhists believe that true peace, wisdom and personal freedom can be achieved by all of humankind. Most buddhists meditate for 8 hours a day so they can have peace and happiness.

  5. The big Buddha in Phuket The big Buddha is officially known name is Pra Buddhamingmongkol Ake-Nakkiri. The big Buddha in Phuket is at the height of 45 meters and the width is 25 meters. The big Buddha is at the top of a 400 meter hill. It is completely covered with white Burmese marble tiles. If you go around the island of Phuket, you can always see the Big Buddha if you look in the right direction. In the big Buddha you can meditate or you can get blessed by a monk and donate some food and toiletries and you will get a bracelet around your arm from the monk.

  6. Thailand’s Tourists In Thailand there are a lot of tourists everywhere. When you are a tourist in Thailand and if you walk down the street, there will be people asking you to buy clothes, shoes, bags, sunglasses, jewelry and souvenirs. These people are the owners of the their shop in the markets and they constantly ask you if you would like to buy anything. When you do want to buy something you can buy lots of stuff for less money because you can make the price cheaper. Most things in Thailand are always cheaper because you don’t have to pay as much tax as other country's and also it is made in Thailand so you don’t have to import anything from a different country. 100 baht is equivalent to $4.10 in Singapore.

  7. Thailand Local Houses Local houses in Thailand have raised wooden stilts on the bottom of the house so bugs, reptiles or any other animals cant come into the house. Some locals in Thailand have cattle under their house and sometimes there are two stages where at the bottom of the house people sell things and at the top of the house are the bedrooms. Not all Thai houses have furniture or kitchens so they eat on the floor.  There is also no showers or baths so they use a big tub for the water and a jug. Thai people bathe by throwing water over themselves. Most toilets in the house are squat toilets and near the squat toilets there is a container filled with water and a cup or a hose pipe. These replace the flush of water.

Thailand’s Food There are lots of different dishes in Thailand and they include - Lipstick green curry - Mango sticky rice - Pad Thai - Khao phad phak Sometimes when you are in Thailand you will often see a motor bike which has a little cart on it and you can buy food from it. You can buy - Fruit - Fish - Seafood - Meat - Pancakes -Peanuts There are lots of these carts around Thailand and there are lots of different dishes in Thailand. There is also billions of restaurants in Thailand which sell Thai food.

  9. Thailand’s Farming In Thailand there are lots of different things that are farmed in Thailand. People farm - Rice - Live Stock - Fruit and vegetables - Seafood Lots of locals farm in Thailand for their job and they sell either rice, live stock, fruit, vegetables and seafood. The locals farm the crop and then they sell the crop and get money. Lots of crops are farmed in Thailand and lots of people buy from Thailand.

  10. Thailand’s Climate The climate in Thailand iswarm, tropical climate affected by an annual monsoon, with a rainy season from June to October and a dry season the rest of the year. Temperatures average 24 to 33 degrees Celsius, with the highest temperatures from March to May and the lowest in December and January. It is tropical, rainy, warmand cloudy from the southwest monsoon from the middle of May to September. It is dryand cool from the northeast monsoon in November to the middle of March. These are the three seasons: the cool season (November to February), the hot season (April to May), and the rainy season (June to October), there is heavy rain that rarely lasts more than a couple of hours.

  11. Thailand’s Natural Disasters In 2004 there was a big tsunami that hit Thailand and it came from the Indian ocean earthquake. It hit Phuket on boxing day around morning and no one knew what a tsunami was. On the 26th of December 2004 all of the waves started going back and you could see a lot of sand so people were taking photos of it, then all of a sudden a big wave came and hit Thailand and killed around 5078 people, injured 8457 and 3716 people went missing. Now in Thailand there are tsunami alarms so if there is a tsunami people know and they can go to the evacuation centre. Recently there has been floods in Bangkok and that has been from a lot of rain. There have been at least 377 dead from the flood in the past 3 months.
