Big Data (SG 1) • ”Denotes technologies and methods for the high scalable collection, storage and analysis of poly-structured data.” • SC 32 Data management and interchange • SC 29 "Coding of audio, picture, multimedia and hypermedia information" • SC 27 (SR 307 Tietoturvatekniikat) • SC 34 (SR 306 Dokumenttiformaatit) • SC 38 (SR 310 Verkkosovellukset)

  7. SmartCities (SG 2) • Laaja konsepti: IT-teknologioiden integroitua soveltamista • Liittyy tavalla tai toisella lähes kaikkiin JTC 1:n alakomiteoihin.

Internet of Things (IoT) • JTC 1/SWG 5 • “IoT is an integrated environment, inter-connecting anything, anywhere at anytime.” • ISO/IEC JTC 1/WG 7 (Anturiverkot) • ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 31 (SR 309 Automaattinen tunnistus ja tiedonkeruu) • ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 36 (SR 305 Opetusteknologia) • ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 39 (SR 311 Resurssitehokkaat datakeskukset)

  9. Smart Grid • Sähkönsiirtojärjestelmä, joka yhdistää sähkövoimatekniikkaa sekä automaatio-, tieto- ja viestintäteknologioiden ratkaisuja • Työ siirrettiin ryhmään IEC/SEG 5:een. • WG 7 Anturiverkot • SC 39 (SR 311 Resurssitehokkaat datakeskukset)

Kehitysmaayhteistyö • JTC 1 luo Developing Country -ohjelman, joka koostuu seuraavista osioista • Taloudellinen tuki kokouksiin osallistumista varten • Kaksi standardisointityön mentoria kehitysmaille • Ohjeet JTC 1:n yksiköille kehitysmaiden osallistumisen tukemiseen • Tuki ISO DEVCOn ja IEC Affiliatesin ohjelmille.

  12. Etäosallistuminen • JTC 1:n sääntöihinmuutos: mahdollistettiinetäosallistuminenalakomiteoidenyleiskokouksiin. • Alakomiteoillaoikeuspäättääitse, tarttuvatko ne mahdollisuuteen • Etä-äänestyskysymysfyysisissäkokouksissajätettiinavoimeksi. Ennenvirallistapäätöstääänestäminenetäosallistujanaei ole mahdollista.

  13. Muuta • Perustettiin uusi alakomitea JTC 1/SC 40 ”IT Service Management and IT Governance” • Sisältää • Ent. JTC 1/WG 8 ”IT Governance” • Ent JTC 1/SC 7 • WG 25 • WG 27
