  1. College Application for RoATP 2019 –a recorded presentation(1 of 3) Teresa Frith, Senior Skills Policy Manager, AoC

  2. Summary of presentation content This is the first presentation in a series of three; • This presentation concerns itself with the process, route and general requirements of the application to the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP) • Subsequent presentations are concerned with the specific questions within the RoATP application process • All presentations assume that your college has previously been on RoATP. If this is NOT the case please contact teresa.frith@aoc.co.uk if you require advice on your application

  3. Accessing the Application process (1) • You will be invited to apply by ESFA and are not required to do anything until this contact has been made • The application is undertaken on line through the DfE/ESFA’s Bravo Solutions portal • The portal is open now and there is nothing to prevent you from accessing the application PQQ and pre-preparing your responses ahead of the ESFA invite

  4. Accessing the Application process (2) 1 Go to the portal log in page

  5. Accessing the Application process (3) 1Enter your log in details (your college will be registered if you are currently on the RoATP) you may not be the person who holds these details….

  6. Accessing the application process (4) Select PQQs Open to All Suppliers and open PQQ 29012 – RoATP main provider application and click the green ‘Express interest’ button This will shift the PQQ into your ‘my PQQ’ space and will allow you to start completing the application process

  7. Accessing the Application process (5) From this screen you can start your application This tab to add other contributors to your PQQ This tab to get a saveable/printable version of the document This tab to start filling in answers

  8. Accessing the Application process (6) When you click on the ‘edit response’ tab this screen will appear: Hit this tab frequently to avoid losing any of your work – sessions will time out and any unsaved work will be lost! Hit this tab to check to see if you have missed anything mandatory (check directly yourself though!)

  9. Some General Points • Read everything before you start to respond, especially the Application Guidance document. Most information can be accessed via https://www.gov.uk/guidance/register-of-apprenticeship-training-providers • Make a note of all the documents that you need to attach (there are many) and go about sourcing them • Ensure your college has only one person who is in overall charge of your application • Keep an eye on the ‘messages’ tab as this is where ESFA will notify of changes to the application and should post answers to questions asked

  10. Content of subsequent presentations • Introduction to the question areas within the RoATP application process • Key areas to cover in text answers (2000 character limit) • Key content requirements of required documents
