  2. Diego was born on May 19 1879. He won the Pichichi Trophy for scoring 25 goals in 2004. He also won the European Golden Shoe for being the top goal scorer. He also won the golden ball for the best player this year at the FIFA World Cup.

  3. Diego Forlan is a Uruguayan striker. He played for many clubs, but he started off in Independiante. He joined Manchester United in 2002. Afterwards he joined Villarreal and finally he joined Athletico Madrid. He plays for Uruguay as well.

  4. Forlan is known best for his knack of scoring goals a lot. He can also shoot well from long range and can pull off some impressive moves at times.

  5. I like Forlan because maybe 8 times out of ten he puts a goal in. I also like him because of how well he can curve a ball.

  6. 3 Questions If I could ask Forlan 3 questions, I would ask him: • Can you teach me how to be a better footballer? • Why do you think people like you so much? • Who’s your biggest rival?

  7. Early Years • Diego Forlan’s family were mostly footballers. He played tennis more when he was younger but he started playing football when his sister Alejandra was in a car crash and was put in intensive care for five months.

  8. Taking off his shirt • Forlan has a knack of tacking his shirt off after scoring a goal. Once, in a match against Southampton, Diego took off his shirt but had trouble getting it back on in time. He ran across the stadium holding his shirt in his hand to get the ball from his opponents. • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9s_oJaFXVrE
