  2. Early Life… • Born in Guanajuato, Mexico • Began studying painting at young age • 1907 moved to Europe • Spent next 14 years in Paris studying artists http://www.elseptimosello.com.mx/Pics/Diego%20Rivera.jpg

  3. Where he lived • Diego Rivera was born in Guanajuato City, Guanajuato. • He went to Madrid, Spain and Paris, France to study art. • He traveled to Italy and Moscow, Russia. He also lived in Mexico, but married and died in San Francisco, California.

  4. His Goal • Rivera was searching for a new form of painting • one that could express the complexities of his day • still reach a wide audience • Studied in Italy, he found his medium
