  5. What do we deliver? • Historically, IronCAD has always provided: • “Unrivalled productivity in the creation of design data” • (Exclusively for engineers & designers) • Today, IronCAD’s latest range of products deliver: • “Unrivaled productivity in both the creation and re-use of design data” • (Enterprise wide - including engineers, designers, sales, production and marketing teams)

  6. What do we deliver? • Ease of Use • Intuitive user interface • Think in 3D, Similar to modeling in clay • Triball positioning, catalog structure • Drag and drop functionality • Short learning curve • Design Flexibility • Dynamic OR Structured approach to the design • Real embedded 2D drafting power • Total freedom in the design process • Ability to add constraints ONLY if required • Collaboration • ACIS and Parasolids kernels • Range of native file format translators • Ability to modify imported data

  7. Who buys IRONCAD • Anybody who thinks in 3D • For whom accurate 3D models are more important than 2D drawings • People who “Create” in 3D • Innovative Modeling / Single Scene Environment • Anybody whose design evolves • People who need to change the design throughout the design process • For whom flexibility is important • Dynamic approach to the design and development process • Innovative Modeling / History independent • Companieswho design & produce configurable solutions • Configured solutions for individual customer assemblies • Triball / Catalog / Drag & Drop / Smart Assembly

  8. What is a configurable solution? • “The design of unique customer specific assemblies where the majority of components are company standard component parts and/or third party components” • Companies whose end product is a configured solution to suit their customers particular requirement • Companies who typically use CAD to design all the component piece parts and then configure these into an assembly • This type of design typically requires dynamic Catalogs, Drag & Drop placements and intuitive positioning and replication tools. • Customers may also want to use connectors to add design intent and rules to their catalog parts to ensure they are assembled correctly.

  9. Typical Customers • Machinery design • Production line equipment • Boat & Yacht Design • Fit out and assembly • Factory Automation • Robotics / Process Automation • Storage Solutions • Shelving / Racking • Furniture • Shopfitting and bespoke furniture • Exhibition Stands • Bespoke/ custom stand design • Configured solutions for individual customer assemblies

  10. Product Portfolio • A suite of tools to take product development from initial concept right through to the point of sale

  11. Product Overview • IRONCAD • Creating data – A comprehensive 2D & 3D tool for designers and engineers to develop ideas, create products, detailed engineering design, document and present their work • INOVATE • Concept design – A 3D tool for engineers to develop concepts and to collaborate and share their 3D data • DRAFT • Documenting data – A Powerful 2D mechanical engineering drafting tool to enable draughtsman to accurately detail and document their work. • COMPOSE • Sharing the idea – A unique configuration tool, which can enable sales people and customers to configure assemblies and present ideas, using standard parts and components. • TRANS • Extending the reach – A set of translators enabling users to share data and work more closely with customers & their supply chain

  12. A Common Goal • Common Data • All the products share common data which means that data can be reused quickly and easily both within the company, and using the range of translators, in conjunction with suppliers and/or customers using any mainstream design product. • Common User Interface • All IronCAD products use a similar user interface which means that users can switch between products easily and without the need for intensive training. Renown as one of the easiest systems to use, the short learning curve allows anyone to become productive in a matter of hours. • Common Design Methodology • All IronCAD products use Innovative Modeling which means that users have the freedom to make any change, at any stage, in the product development process, without the risk of corrupting the data

  13. Aligned with your use model • Initial Concept Design • A flexible design tool, enabling users to work through their ideas and create designs dynamically in 3D, making changes as they go along. • Product development • The ability to design and change products dynamically and also to add intelligence, structure and design intent if required. Powerful for the development of variants and product structure or for creating mechanisms. • Product Testing and Analysis • Built in clash detection, FEA analysis and the embedded design intent eliminate the risk of errors at the final production phase. • Detailed Drawings and Product Documentation • Produce quality 2D detail drawings using a leading mechanical detailing tool; sharing its core data with the other products in the portfolio, ensuring full associativity between 2D & 3D at all times. • Configuring Assemblies • Using Catalogs, Drag & Drop, and standard parts to create unique custom assembly models in the specification process or at the point of sale to secure a deal. • Presenting Your Solution • Photorealistic rendering from customer driven models. Walk through animations, pricing information and Bill of Materials are all powerful sales tools. • Collaborating with the world • The ability to quickly and safely share data with your supply chain or customers, to involve them in your design process irrespective of what CAD system they use or even if they have no CAD solution in place.

  14. Initial Concept Design • Quick and simple design tool that anyone can use • Flexible design approach to enable “what if….” testing • Open data structure enabling collaboration and data reuse • Import and reuse any legacy data regardless of source

  15. Product Development • Quick and simple to use design tool • Flexible design approach to enable improvements and future changes • Open data structure enabling collaboration and data reuse • Add parametric rules and intelligent design intent

  16. Product Testing & Analysis • Collision detection • Mechanism simulation • Built in Linear FEA Application • Extendable to include: • Advanced non linear analysis • Non linear heat transfer • Complex assembly analysis

  17. Detailing and Documentation True industry standard product User Interface ensures extremely short learning curve Full mechanical 2D detailing Leverage 3D functionality in 2D design Sharing core data with 3D system to ensure associativity

  18. Create Custom Configurations • Totally unique point of sale configuration tool • Ensure customer buy in to your concept • Create accurate BOM and pricing data • Reduce errors from miscommunication • Shorter sales cycle and higher closing rate

  19. Bringing your product to life • Photorealistic renderings at the point of sale • 3D print output • Walk through and animations • Accurate part schedules and pricing data • Credibility & customer confidence • Shorter sales cycle and higher closing rate

  20. “IronCAD is the only product set on the market today to take initial concept though to point of sale in one off the shelf solution”

  21. Schnaithmann AG Head office in Remshalden, Germany 14 Offices throughout Europe Manufacture and distribute conveyor systems for factory production lines Extreemly competitive marketplace Needed to get „buy-in“ from specifiers and customers Visualisation in critical Accuracy in specification reduces cost at point of installation Schnaitmann now use IronCAD products to create and configure product ranges, With a range of custom catalogs and tools thier reseller channel use configurators to demonstrate and sell product solutions Schanaitmann also make licenses freely available to thier key customers and product specifiers

  22. Sales visit or Consultation? Created standard catalogs using IronCAD Allowing them to quickly and easily develop solutions dynamically infront of thier clients By developing the model WITH the client, they take ownership for it as if it was thier own design. This makes the sale much easier

  23. Point of Sale Deliverables Producing Bill of Materials Pricing proposal Rendered Visualisations Videos • TimeSavings • Model Data saves time • Reduced company comms • Saving up to 2 weeks

  24. Success? Added Value Able to demonstrate thier clear understanding of the customers needs Able to deliver real photorealistic images and videos Reducing Cost Clear layout and specification reduces errors or waste at point of install One stop quote – Salesman can spec, quote and deliver in one visit Quicker development of new products Immediate rollout of new products to disperate sales teams Able to enforce predefined rules and config options Winning Market Share Better customer confidence Better understanding Better peresentation
