  2. Science Vocabulary • Words that have a different meaning in science. Ex. Tissue, Development, Respiration • Words that only are used in science. Most come from Latin or Greek! Ex. Prokaryote, Eukaryote, Chloroplast

  3. Keeping vocabulary cards • Helps you to remember words. • Important to use your own words to define new vocabulary! • As a requirement, I will collect/check your cards on Wednesdays. (*random checks throughout the year) • Keep it organized!

  5. It’s your turn Make your own vocabulary card for the words PROKARYOTE EUKARYOTE Be ready to share your answers later. Turn these in when you exit the room.

  6. Summer packet test • 50 questions combination of: -multiple choice - matching type - true or false • From # 63-94 • BRING SHARPENED PENCILS

  7. Cell organelle matching type • Match the word with the definition. • At home, paste this on the 4th page of your science ( composition) notebook. Behind the front cover: DO NOW 1st page : blank 2nd page: CA standards-> leave blank for now 3rd page: graphic organizer-> Aug. 17/18 to be given back
