  3. Theme and Focus of the Conference (The 2014 Conference main theme will be « Prevalence of Lymphoedema » as ILF will be in a position to present results from the ILF Prevalence Study which will be initiated in 2013 – Please add suggestions to this Theme) 3

  4. Prospective Dates and Site(s) Date: The ILF Conference should be held in the Spring 2014. If you have had the possibility to check some dates, or if your bid is linked to an already existing event, please mention the dates. If not, we will work together on the final date. Site: If you already have an idea where the Conference should be held (University, Hospital, Conference Centre, Hotel, …) please let us know. Otherwise, we will work together on the venue choices. 4

  9. Contributing Factors Influencing Hosting Decision • The following considerations will be taken into account by the ILF Directors in making their final decision regarding the hosting proposals. We suggest you make reference to these in your bid submission. • Bids from National Lymphoedema Frameworks already established or close to being established • Bidding organization has the infrastructure and resources in place to help organize the event  • Experience of host country/organization in planning similar events • Strong regional base of potential conference delegates • Number of local lymphoedema opinion experts that could contribute to the speaker roster • Relative cost and direct flights and accessibility to access conference from major cities/countries  • Estimated cost of conference venue, average price of hotel accommodations and food/beverages • Convenience of having hotel room nights in close proximity to conference venue • Strong relationships within bidding country among lymphoedema organizations to deliver collaborative support • Financial support from local convention and visitor bureaux for sponsorships 9
