  3. Paragraphing • When do we start a new paragraph? • Change in time, place, or topic • Our diaries: NEED to show this separation. • Rule of thumb- most paragraphs are not more than 7 sentences. If it looks like it is too long, it probably is!

  4. Sentence length • Give your diary entries depth and variety • Simple • Compound • Conjunctions and FANBOY • Semi-colon • Complex • AAAWWWUBBIS

  5. Write a diary entry for each chapter: 4 diary entries total (25 points each)
