  2. Constanta County • Constanta County is the most urbanized county in Romania. The North is separated from Tulcea County through a conventional line, which meanders between the Danube and Black Sea Plateau.

  4. TROPAEUM TRAIANI Tropaeum Traiani, located  in an area of forested hills, is the triumphal monument that it is still standing as a remember of the famous Roman troups ,led by Traian The Emperor.

  6. HISTRIA-Archaeological evidence seems to confirm that all trade with the interior followed the foundation of Histria. Local pottery was produced following establishment of the colony and certainly before mid-6th century. During the archaic and classical periods, when Histria flourished, it was situated near fertile arable land. It served as a port of trade soon after its establishment, with fishing and agriculture as additional sources of income.

Constanta • Constanta (Greek Tomi LatinTomi Constantiana , Bulgarian Кюстенджа , Turkish Köstence) is a municipality located on the Black Sea coast in the south-eastern Romania (Dobrogea historical region).The city has around 310.471 inhabitans. • Around town there is a major metropolitan area that makes Constanta second county after Bucharest metropolitan area. With an area representing 70% of the county , Constanta metropolitan area outside the city has 13 other cities: Agigea, Corbu, Cumpăna, Eforie, Lumina(The Light),Mihail Kogalniceanu, Murfatlar Navodari, Ovidiu, White Gate, Techirghiol ,Tuzla and Valu lui Traian.

  8. Constanta was founded after the Greek colonization of the Black Sea (Pontos Greek Euxeinos) . This name is probably derived from the Greek word τομή (Tomi) meaning cut, cleft. According to legend, Jason and his Argonauts would have stopped here after stolen in the Caucasus the Golden Fleece.

  9. In 2009, Constance was the fifth city of Romania, being surpassed by Bucharest, Iasi, Timisoara and Cluj-Napoca . Data about the population of Timisoara, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi and Constanta also changed in the last year. In summer the population grows rapidly with the number of tourists.

  10. Economy Constanta is a center of industry, trade and tourism of national importance. In the first half of 2008 in Constanta and neighboring villages were set up 3144 new companies, placing the county ranked third nationally. Here is Romania's largest port and the fourth in Europe, and its operating shipyard, one of the largest -by number of vessels built and repaired.

  11. Attractions • Tomis port fits in urban architecture of Constanta, representing an extension of the cliffs. Access to the port city is very easy and it can be achieved with both auto and pedestrian ways. In close vicinity there are lots of sights that enhance the attractiveness: the statue of the Latin poet Ovidius( Ovid Square), Museum of Archaeology, with remains of ancient Roman mosaic ,The Aquarium, Lighthouse Genovese, Casino.

  12. Aquarium • Dolphinarium Constanta began operations in 1972( 1st of June ) and it is the first national public museum .

  14. Archaeology Museum • The City Museum of Archaeology was established in1879, when the first Mayor of the county, Remus Opreanu, arranged a modest collection of antiquities.

  17. Mamaia Mamaia is the most famous resort on the Romanian seaside.

  18. One of the main attractions of the resort is AquaMagic water park - a place of entertainment for tourists. AquaMagic is located at the entrance of the resort and it has a capacity of 2,500 guests. An area of 4000 square meters of water park, AquaMagic includes pools ,restaurants, bars, fast foods, confectioneries, as well as souvenirs and pictures.

  19. Mamaia gondola opened in 2004 is an installation of lifts, which allows tourists to break the height of the resort .It offers an unforgettable image of Mamaia, Black Sea and Lake Siutghiol. This is an unique achievement in Romania and one of the few projects of its kind in the world.

Cable Railway Project, with a carrying capacity of 600-1500 persons per hour, is a means to address tourists like to watch the height of Mamaia, tourists being able to embark on two stations, the first hotel in the Pearl, and the second in the Casino area. • It said very small number of villas and private accommodation which does not exist in the rest of Romanian seaside resorts are well represented
