Example: There are only a few students in Ms. Durham’s 1st period class. Ends with a question mark?? Asks a question. Example: Is that my dog? Ends with a period or exclamation point!.!. Gives a command or makes a request. Examples: Don’t do that! Stop playing with that video game. Ends with an exclamation point!!!! Shows excitement or expresses strong feelings. Examples: I did it! So What? The 4 types of sentences are; declarative sentences which make a statement, Interrogative sentences ask a question, imperative sentences gives a command or request, and an exclamatory sentence shows excitement or express strong feelings
