Hotel Mary, Vico Equense

With magnificent views across the bay of Naples, the Hotel Mary is a friendly hotel with a traditional regional feel. The bedrooms, which sleep 1-4 persons are en-suite with air conditioning and have Satellite TV and Safe. The hotel has its own beach, pool and jaccuzzi and it is situated about 5 minutes walk from the town centre with its shops, restaurants and cafes.

slide16
Meals

We’ll eat at the hotel every evening, except one night we’ll head to a local pizzeria where we have booked ‘all you can eat’ pizza for everyone 

Lunches will be provided by the hotel and are of good quality. There won’t be much opportunity to supplement these with your own purchases unless we have time to visit the shops in Vico Equense in the evening.

Travel tips - currency

The currency in Italy is the Euro.

We recommend that students take €50 with

them on the visit in cash. Ideally small denominations

Rather than a single €50 note so that we can operate a

Banking system for the students and buy things

More easily.

slide18

Travel tips – what to bring

  • A small backpack that your child is able to carry themselves.
  • Basic toiletries – shampoo and soap, toothbrush and toothpaste.
  • These MUST be in a small transparent bag for the airport!
  • Towel (Check with your accommodation)
  • Sensible shoes
  • Sun lotion
  • Camera (it is the students own responsibility, please read the insurance documents)
slide19

Travel tips – European health

insurance card

But we recommend that all student also bring a

European Health Insurance Card with them.

The E111 is the certificate that entitles you to treatment that

becomes necessary during your visit to the EEA or Switzerland.

We recommend that all your students obtain a European Health

Insurance Card (new name for the old E111) before travelling.

If a students needs medical treatment while abroad, they will be

treated for free rather than having to pay and claim the money

back afterwards.

You can apply through the NSH online.
