  7. Exercise Participants • Who will participate? • Are we still within the scope of the exercise? • Revisit the aims and objectives

  8. Group Activity • In your syndicate groups: • Identify the style that will best suit your exercise • Identify who would be the participants for your exercise

  9. Exercise Scenario • General Idea • Special Ideas

  10. General Idea • Background information which would normally be available in the real event. • Enough to allow participants to prepare to participate in the exercise

  11. Special Idea • Specific information about the developing scenario. This may be: • Verbal • Written • Displayed • Broadcast

  12. Group Activity • In your groups: • Develop an outline of a scenario for your exercise • Identify what information you would need to include in your General Idea and develop at least two Special Ideas

  13. Review of Objectives By the end of this session participants should be able to: • Determine the scope of an exercise • Describe the three different styles of exercise • Identify who should participate in a particular exercise • Develop an outline scenario for an exercise
